Spurlok Story Blog
The Spurlok Story began in 2016 when I was working as an apprentice electrical maintenance enegineer in a steel factory. One day I was told to isolate a faulty water cooler that had given someone an electric shock. The water cooler was supplied via a fused spur unit and as an electrician safe Isolation was something that was a routine part of my working activities so I understood what was required. Usually when I would isolate from isolation switches or circuit breakers there would be a tool or device that would allow me to secure the switch of a machine or appliance in the OFF position using a padlock but for a fused spur unit there was no such tool.
